HANDIS & EMPREINTE
ARCHITECTURE
In May of 2014, the firm Handis, founded in 2008, with the partnered architects Houda Aourarhi and Saad Rhzioual Berrada, and the firm Empreinte d’architectes, founded in 2006, with the partnered architects Badre Bouzoubaa, Karim Rouissi and Omar Serhane, decided to merge their skills by creating the firm H+E ARCHITECTURE (HANDIS + EMPREINTE ARCHITECTURE)
This studio currently benefits of human, technical, and financial means of both firms. The thirty collaborators and their two firms together are used to working within the Moroccan context as well as at an international level.
The partnered architects have a common penchant for pronounced architecture with modern functionalism and rationalism. Their respective works, no matter the program, or the context, are but just a pretext to move towards a new experimentation of space and light. The site is data of no particular importance. The insertion of a building in its environment with its particular characteristics is but the delicate challenge of architecture interrogates the notions of urbanism, exposure, continuity, and of harmony.
The firm’s H+E ARCHITECTURE has developed expertise in several domains, most notably in residential, hotel, retail, office space, financial institutions, industrial, heritage, and urbanism.
In addition to the usual exercise of the profession of architecture, the partners of the firm H+E Architecture enjoy engaging in the heritage domain and volunteering for the restoration and rehabilitation of heritage buildings.
